The latest volume of the Bibliography of American Literature contains approximately 1,885 numbered entries by twenty-nine authors, including well-known literary authors Royall Tyler, Henry David Thoreau, and John Trumbull. The Bibliography also prints the first serious bibliographical studies of the writings of many important American women writers such as E. D. B. Stoddard, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Celia Thaxter, Elizabeth Stuart Phelps Ward, and Susan B. Warner.
