Das zweite Herz Roman

Medically-retired F.B.I. agent (former head of serial murder investigations for the L.A. area) McCaleb, is recovering from a heart transplant necessitated by an obscure blood disease. A woman approaches him with a strange story: her sister was killed in a convenience store robbery that she feels has not been fully investigated by the police; McCaleb has no inclination to investigate, until she tells him that it is her sister's heart now beating in his chest.
