The architectural duo Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron were commissioned to design a space for the Goetz Sammlung in Munich, a private collection of 1960s art. Their internationally acclaimed solutions to the problems of creating an architectural work of first-rate quality that respects the functional needs of an exhibition space for art work are the subject of this well-illustrated volume on the building, which includes some 37 color reproductions.
