The Great Santini

This is the story of a teenage boy and his siblings growing up with an abusive Marine-Corp fighter pilot father and a vain mother who is in denial. It is semi-autobiographical. This is the book that made me a Conroy fan. It made me laugh, it made me cry. I hated to have it end. This is a wonderful book for men and women both.
