Henry William Brands (born August 7, 1953) is an American educator, historian, and author of 25 books on U.S. history and biography. He is the Dickson Allen Anderson Centennial Professor of History and a Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Ph.D. in history in 1985.
